Hello there, thanks for visiting. My name is Mavis, a gym bro who doesn’t really look like one.
Born and raised in Malaysia, currently an editor and part-time uni student. When I’m not lifting or studying, I’m probably reading manga or drinking coffee.

I started weight-lifting roughly 4+ years ago. Before that, I had always been underweight, come to think of it I had always been underweight since I could remember.

Well, fast forward to now, I definitely look healthier. In fact, I’d say kinda chubby. 😂

Wèi (Whey) shé me (为什么) directly translates to why in Chinese. I think it’s necessary to ask the why question when learning about weight lifting. To me, weight lifting is not simply the act of carrying heavy objects and putting it back.

I can’t remember exactly why I started lifting but I do know why I stayed.

I love lifting weights and I hope to share what I love ( A bit cringy, I know, but it’s the truth)
